SUSTAINABILITY

A sustainable way of doing business

Some ideas are built to stand the test of time. “Sustainability” might just be a newfangled word for doing things the way we’ve always done them.

We source locally whenever it’s possible, because that’s the best way to get the freshest, most delicious produce. We don’t have a long supply chain. We shop daily, and our trucks deliver to the stores three times a day--that’s why our produce is always so fresh. Our more direct distribution process means sometimes corn literally goes from the field to the store in the same day.

Our sourcing process has been worked out over generations. It’s personal, and it’s just about perfect. We know which farmers to call at what time of year to make sure our produce arrives at the peak of perfection. When we can’t source locally, we buy as close to home as we can.

After more than sixty years, we don’t just believe offering the freshest food, thoughtfully sourced, is a sustainable way of doing business.

We’ve proven it.
