Introducing John Holzknecht, a cornerstone of the Paul's family whose journey with us began in 1992 at the age of 21. Starting as a produce associate at our old Lyndon location, John's exceptional talent and dedication were quickly recognized, propelling him to assistant manager within a year and eventually to store manager by 1996.
After a successful stint at our Lyndon location, John brought his expertise to our Middletown store from 1999 to 2008. In 2008, his knack for gourmet foods led him to take on a pivotal role as the head of our gourmet department at our Brownsboro Road location. His passion for gourmet cuisine and dedication to excellence made him an invaluable asset to the team.
In 2024, John played a vital role in the transition of our Brownsboro Road location to a larger building, solidifying its status as our flagship store. Continuing his role as gourmet manager, John ensures that the Paul's experience remains unmatched for our valued customers.
What keeps John committed to Paul's for over three decades? It's the work, the people, and the customers – for John, they're all part of one big family. His favorite item on our shelves? Our famous pimento cheese, but with a twist – he prefers it hot, adding an extra kick to his culinary adventures.
